Just me, the grant writer.

Writing grants for a non-profit is an adventure! I am looking forward to sharing insights and experiences from this process as I blog on the subject of generating income for Kitten Krazy. As a volunteer of four years, I have witnessed Kitten Krazy grow and expand programs to now include the plans for a low-cost spay/neuter clinic, Quick Fix. The summer is both kitten season and grant season, so look for more to come as I will be well-caffeinated and churning out work to help fund Kitten Krazy!

Brief History

Hello Fans of Felines! I started Kitten Krazy in May 2004 to help ease the overpopulation of unwanted, stray, abandoned and lost cats and kittens in Medina County. After volunteering for 6 years at the Parma Animal Shelter, where I learned a lot about shelter life, I moved to Medina and realized the County needed more organizations that could help place the animals being taken in the thousands to the shelter. Kitten Krazy is now 5 years old and has placed over 1,200 fully vetted cats and kittens. Starting out with less than 5 volunteers, we have grown to over 110. We are a very close-knit organization who work hard and have a lot of fun, too. We all enjoy caring for the cats and kittens that we take in and are both sad and happy when we see them go home. A special thank you to all the wonderful adopters who make this worthwhile - you keep us going!
